Worrying about the consequences

I was recently at a gathering and some people were talking about a person they knew, that was involved in a car accident. The young lady was on the highway and texting, going about 60 or so miles per hour.  She hit a semi-truck in front of her. Luckily she's alive to talk about it and the other driver is also o.k. The only thing that concerned me was that some of the people there were more concerned about her getting  a ticket or in trouble, rather than the bigger picture of her texting and driving. What about if there had been fatalities or even serious injuries? No one mentioned those issues. So no one was injured, thank goodness, but it could of happened. I hope all these posts do not go unnoticed.
