Continuing With Rehab
My co-worker is in a rehab now. She has a long way to go. She's in a lot of pain, that she has to deal with everyday. She just started talking again, because she had a trach for a while. She's learning how to communicate and express her feelings. She has periods of anger because of her condition. She doesn't remember the accicent, thank goodness for that. She has to learn how to walk again. It upsets me to think that in one split second someone's life could change so much. Not only did her life change, but so did the driver that hit her. I wish people would think about putting that phone away while driving and texting after they get out of the car. I don't think people think this could happen in their lives, but it could. It could happen so fast and you can't take it back, so please think about if that text is important enough to you to take that chance.

Unfortunately people don't realize the seriousness of this until it hits close to home. I hope you and your friend the best during this hard time. I have had to go through many recovery periods with family members because cancer runs in my family.
